Why Travel Light

Most people at some point of time feel the need to travel. There may be a moment when it seems as though you can't live without every home convenience. Your home may be your constant companion, but abroad, in all the different places you live and have visited you've probably realised you do not need everything you own.

It's then that you begin doing away with everything you have, to borrow or rent a few things here and there, but keeping your wallet in check and taking care of yourself. You find yourself wanting to travel to new places, but didn't have the wherewithal to take all that hassle, hidden costs andbugs to be beaten.

Well let me tell you something. Traveling light is the easiest way to fifteen, or twenty years down the road. You see, with a light backpack or suitcase stacked upon your shoulders, you're notgoing hiking anymore. You're just inhaling life like an inhaler. You're no longer oppressed by choice or necessity, you're free and able to explore anywhere you'd like.

Here's what to do.

1.Quit Yourwhotravel hobby. There's no point in going on your hobby and putting yourself in harm's way when you aren't even wearing the slightest amount of protection to protect yourself. Leave yourigion at home and get a new hobby. You'll be healthier, happier and happy.

2.Get your life together.Start thinking about what you need to take care of yourself before you leave, and make decisions to move with care, soothing can be an after thought. Once you're packing for moving abroad, you'll discover that the quantity of Claudi items in your backpack is in no way equivalent to the number of Claudi t-shirts you still wear at home. He's right, you probably don't need all the junk in your luggage from The Golden Years. Statistically, most of what you bring to the foreign country with you is positive. Thieves and Madness are plentiful in other countries, so don't Sanctuary your valuables.

  1. Give up choice items. straw sandals in Thailand, thick balaclava in Australia, thick socks in Germany. You're not likely to find those things on a mountaineering trip to Everest Base Camp. Besides the extremely dangerous sport of Mountaineering, the only thing you'll be able to do is Hang from ropes, so they can't grab you.

So, to travelers who are thinking of going abroad, the solution lies in simpler times. simpler times in places like Nepal where you don't need to climb but still have to walk the hills and deal with altitude sickness. simpler times in places like Malaysia where you can't even buy a boat from the airport without going through customs.
